Program Description

The program at Romulus Middle School will focus on student voice, empowerment, and agency.  This is a space for the students to challenge themselves and move out of their comfort zones with the support of their classmates and Bright Futures staff members.  We will meet for 2.5 hours every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to encourage academic growth, cultivate our curiosity, and grow as a community.  Our program will be divided up into two main sessions.  Structured academic time will provide students with a safe, productive atmosphere in which to complete homework or find challenging activities to supplement their classwork.  We will also have an assortment of club options in which students can participate, including but not limited to: fitness, art, drama, science, engineering, building, computer science, gaming, trivia, writing, history, and math clubs.  These clubs will allow students to explore various topics  in unique and engaging ways and will reflect student interests.

This program is free for the families of Romulus Middle School and will go from 2:50-5:20 PM each day.  Snack and dinner will be provided for students who attend.  This program goes through the school year and even includes a 6-week summer program during break.  In addition to our everyday programming, we also organize family nights, field trips, and special events throughout the year.
