Alexandra (Alex) Quada is the EMU Bright Futures Site Coordinator at Perry Early Learning Center. She graduated from Hillsdale College with a Bachelor of Arts in History with a Minor in Early Childhood Education in 2020. She also attended Harvard Graduate School of Education and received a Master of Education in Language and Literacy. While at Hillsdale, Alex spent four years working at Mary Randall Preschool and three years as a Hillsdale College Women’s Swimming team member. While attending HGSE, Alex worked with programs like Funda Wande, helping them develop curricula for South African schools. Alex also contributed to HGSE’s DEIB Personalized Learning Project, helping create learning playlists relating to diversity, equity, inclusion, and biases, focusing specifically on women of colors role in the history of education. Alex spent ten years teaching swim lessons and coaching teams in the summers. 

Program Description

EMU Bright Futures at Perry Early Learning Center serves kindergarten and first grade students.  EMUBF at Perry ELC strives to encourage and develop each student’s social-emotional learning and self advocacy. We provide academic support with a focus on literacy, and provide students with new experiences  in which they can explore, learn and grow.  The goal of the program is to provide a safe, supportive, and loving environment that students love to attend! EMUBF at Perry ELC runs Monday through Thursday during the school from 2:30-5:00pm.
