Program Description

Bright Futures at Holmes Elementary is a safe, academic-based, trauma-informed after school program serving 2nd-5th grade students. Bright Futures offers homework help, recreational time, club time, and academic enrichment activities. In Bright Futures, we want student involvement in the program to lead to successful engagement during the school day. We teach our students to prioritize homework. We provide homework support daily during “Academic Time” when students complete homework or work to enhance basic math and language arts skills.

At Holmes, we offer a wide variety of activities and clubs designed to encourage students to try new things and gain experience in a safe and fun environment. Clubs change four times a year and are based on student interests. All of our club activities are designed to support students with developing social-emotional skills, teamwork skills, and help students build strong interpersonal skills, while also embedding academic skills.

Bright Futures at Holmes Elementary runs Monday through Thursday from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm during the school year. Our 6-week summer program runs Monday through Thursday during June and July.
